Where to set the default "Accept Assignment" value for use on the CMS-1500 forms and Electronic Claims.
Navigate to your User Settings > User Display Info > User Info Layout.
You can select your default setting for the "Accept Assignment" (Box 27) value on the CMS-1500 Paper Claims, and on electronic claims. (If you don't enter any value, the default is "yes.")
The selected value is used on the insurance claim.
Your selected default value is used on the insurance claim. Note that you can still manually edit it on this layout if necessary, by clicking in the desired box.
