Setting up a Custom "Other" Clearing House

Setting up a Custom "Other" Clearing House

How to create custom settings for "other" clearing houses and set up neccesay entries for the ISA header values. This will allow you to use any clearing house of your choice.

Navigate to User Settings > Claim Submit Info

Select "Other" as your clearing house choice. If you don't have any existing settings for "other" clearing houses you've entered, you can create a new one using the "Create New" button.

Enter the Clearing House Name

After creating a new (blank) custom entry, you can then enter the Clearing House Name.

Contact your clearing house to obtain the remaining necessary values

You will need to contact your clearing house to obtain their Sender ID, Sender Code, and the required values for the ISA header segments. Note that ISA segments 9 through 13 are automatically calculated so you do not need to enter them. ISA segments 2, 4 and 6 may be blank, or you may be directed by your clearing house to fill in a specified number of spaces. Once you have entered the necessary values, they will be used during your submission of electronic claims when you select this custom clearing house. The clearing house used for submission of a batch is the one selected at the time the batch is created.

NOTE for TheraQuick Team Users: In TheraQuick Team files, since all claims in a batch belong to the same Therapist, the clearing house used is the one selected by the Therapist of the batch. If the Claim Submit Info "User as Master Claim Submission Data" is set to "Yes," then the Master Settings clearing house choice determines the clearing house used for all batches.

Select from among multiple clearing houses

If you ever need to use a different clearing house or to change back and forth depending on the insurance companies in your claims, you can create additional custom clearing house settings and select the desired one from the drop-down list. T
