In this example, the TheraQuick file is in a folder within the "My Client Records" folder. The TheraQuick Update folder can be copied (or moved) into the same folder as your TheraQuick file.
You can place the TheraQuick Update folder anywhere near the folder that contains your TheraQuick file (it just has to be on the same volume). Here it is shown in a location in the "My Client Records" directory, next to the "My TheraQuick Files" folder that contains your TheraQuick file.

The RunUpdater file contains the automated Updater that will perform all the steps necessary for updating your TheraQuick file.
Click "OK" when the Update asks you to locate your TheraQuick source file. The Updater will then present you with a dialog box where you can navigate to the location of your TheraQuick file. If you are on a Mac, your TheraQuick.fp7 file was originally located in the TheraQuick Folder that was installed on your desktop. If you are on a PC, your TheraQuick.fp7 file was originally located in a TheraQuick Folder installed at the root level of your C drive. If you have manually moved it, you must be able to locate it before proceeding.
After selecting your TheraQuick file, the Updater performs the rest of the update process automatically.

The Updater is actually copying the data from your existing TheraQuick file into the new TheraQuick file where the new features have been implemented.
Depending on the amount of data you have accumulated in your TheraQuick file, this may take a minute or two. If the process is ever interrupted, simply open the RunUpdater again and click "Run Update" and the Updater will resume where it left off with migrating your data. Your original TheraQuick file is never left in an unsafe state.
The data migration is complete when the Updater displays this message. It will then automatically open your new TheraQuick file.
All your user account information remains the same, so you can login as you always do.
The first time opening your updated TheraQuick, the splash screen with the new version information will be displayed. You can click "Continue" when you are ready to continue. All your user and client data has been copied into this file and your are now ready to resume your use of TheraQuick.
Your previous TheraQuick file, with all its original data, has been moved to a folder containing the name "Archive" and the data and time at which the update was performed. This is the intact previous version file, with all the original client data. You should protect it just as you do your current TheraQuick file. You can keep these previous versions, or delete them after you're confident your new version is working well. Note: starting with TheraQuick version 1.9.5, the previous TheraQuick.fp7 file is renamed to TheraQuickArchive.fp7 to avoid confusion with the active TheraQuick file.
